2026 Seminar
With the help of our friends at Camp Walter Johnson in Denton, NC, Uwharrie Search Dogs will be hosting the annual CSAR seminar October 25th - 30th 2026. This seminar includes 4 intense days of training, as well as lectures, and great networking opportunities. Search and rescue K9 handlers, many of whom are volunteers, get a chance to hone their skills along side some of the country's best instructors. This event promises hard work and great comradery for those attending.

The biggest challenge that volunteers in search and rescue face is access to good training. With the travel, the overnight stay, the time off work and the actual cost of seminars, the cost of this work can be a hurdle for many of the people interested in giving of themselves. In an effort to make this seminar as affordable as possible, we're looking for sponsors to offset the cost. Sponsorship dollars cover all the cost of the running the seminar with the exception of the attendees travel and accommodations for the duration.​​
